Transport for London’s new Lift installations
Dewhurst worked alongside Otis to design and manufacture signalisation packages for Transport for London’s latest lift installations. Dewhurst assisted London Underground’s lift team in designing a cutting edge signalisation package which developed on the existing LUL lift specification.
The most striking change was incorporating 10.6’’ TFT indicator screens in the car and 7’’ TFT screens on the landing. These vandal resistant screens provide lifts users with more information than standard displays and give the car a modern feel. Dewhurst prewired the complete fixtures to offer a plug and play interface to the Otis serial system.
